PETE LAWSON AND IZZY FOREAL
DON’T FORGET JULY 26th IZZY GOES IT ALONE. IF YOU CAN HELP HIM COME ALONG : GIVE HIM A HAND.
Jamoze is striking it lucky with the weather at last. Last night was warm and dry. Darren Rampling a Kempsey boy originally and now a Tweed-ite was there to celebrate his 50 with a HUGE table of friends and lovers.
Izzy had Pete Lawson up as Guest and it was a really nice night. Pete can pull off the subtle SILK PYJAMAS which Izzy loves. A Billy Connelly Classic that one. Iz played his 6 string guitar for the first set. Sharon and Renee were the waiting people and did one of the top Jamoze Jobs. Sharon even sneaked out to let Chick know there were only 3 sticky toffee puddings and did she want one. Yes indeed – said Chick. And out it came with Ice Cream and Cream. Renee had Izzy’s coffee on the table – just right. We looked well pleased and so did the Rampling table of 20 or more as well as the scattered small tables which included 2 wee lasses and one lad who danced to pretty much all the Skiffle music.
HAVING PETE lAWSON ON BOARD also brought the solo on didg and AIN’T MISBEHAVING. He is promising MARIE – in upcoming weeks. Pete Lawson is busy at the Smokehouse on Tweed with international visitors during the winter months. After successful years with the LEAPING LIZARDS he is now venturing into new areas of musical interest.
Darren Rampling was celebrating a BIG birthday and informed us that he was originally a Kempsey boy. Chick and Pete Lawson both have ties to the Macleay. One result of that is Pete’s Paspalum song SMITHTOWN. Reg Hayes approached Pete later and she’s an original SMITHTOWN girl. You meet funny people at Jamieson’s. Chick is Kinchela blood. ITS A LONG WAY FROM SMITHTOWN TO KINCHELA.
NEXT WEEK : THE BLOKE joins IZZY.
